Honeymooners in Cancun
We went ziplining over the jungle, rafting thru underground rivers, driving little jeeps thru underground tunnels, and swimming in the rivers all day. Such a fun place!
Chi chen itza. So pretty and really cool to learn about the history of the Mayans.
We went swimming with dolphins! There are dolphins somewhere in the picture below. We do not have any pictures of us with dolphins because pictures literally cost $200. But we've got great memories of it! I love dolphins!!
These parrots were at the dolphin place. While we were waiting, Tyler was trying to get them to attack a stick, so he sat there poking them for 20 minutes with it, haha.
This is a cenote that was across the street from our resort. All over Cancun there are underground rivers and water, from a meteorite a long time ago. They are mostly fresh water with just a little bit of salt water in them. They are really deep caves all over. We snorkeled in here and I loved it!Back home. This is our first dinner in our new home as newlyweds! Our selfies failed (I have short arms), but Tyler is here, too, I promise.
We live really close to canyons and mountains so we took advantage of that. We drove a whopping 15 minutes and found a beautiful hiking trail. We took our packs (well, Tyler packed pretty much everything, I carried the water :) and camped on the trail. The next morning we hiked up to a beautiful lake. So pretty.
Camping trip #2. I kidnapped Tyler. Literally. And made him ride in the car for forever. We found an awesome campsite (after 1 or 2 mishaps thanks to me haha) and it was beautiful. Especially the hornets that crawled out of our firepit and into my hair. Tyler killed them with pliers.
The next morning we went to the Alpine slide- Tyler has never been!
That was a lot of snippets of our summer. It was such a busy, fun, adventurous summer!
